"Went in the drink Sunday. Pfd did not go off. Pulled handle. Finally went off. Didn’t right me. Got myself turned over. Barely enough flotation to keep my head above the water. 220lbs weight. I highly recommend any other brand bobbin style vs Halkey Roberts style. Yes bobbin style more likely to go off on its own outside of the water in rain humidity etc but at least it’ll go off!"

"It’s a nice slim auto inflate. I like it ,but I think it’s meant for small frame guys that stand up. I’m a bigger framed person and it is tight on the sides of my neck. Every time I set down to move spots it rides up. Maybe it’s not broken in good. It’s a really nice, good looking auto pfd."

"This is more form fitting and with the style, it is out of the way of my arms and leaves most of the front free from interference. I wear the MD 3183 for patrols and this one is used in my personal boat. Much better fitting and has the same auto-inflation as my 3183. My only wish would be to add Velcro to the collar the same as the 3183, but this one is soft enough to not cause chafing like most inflatables. Top notch jacket from the best in the business!"
