Until On The Water magazine appeared, there was nowhere for fishermen to look for advice on where, how and with what to fish the waters around the Cape and Islands. Particularly with the resurgence of the striped bass and the increasing popularity of fly-fishing, more and more fishermen were being attracted to these waters - but couldn't find any reliable source for information. It took a couple of people in the publishing business who happen to love to fish to change all that.
