Mustang Survival Announces New Senior Management Structure
Mustang Survival is pleased to announce strategic changes in its senior management group. The changes have been made with the benefit of the company's successful adaptation to recent market opportunities and challenges and to strongly position Mustang for continued long-term sustainable growth. Bob Askew, current Chief Executive Officer, will be taking on the additional role of President as Dwight Davies, current owner and previous President of Mustang, becomes Board Chairman. Jim Hartt, previously Vice President, Marketing and Sales, will become Chief Operating Officer and will work with Askew to guide the existing Senior Management Group. He will also lead the newly formed Senior Operations Group in an integrated approach to functional operations and market responsiveness.
Askew will now focus on the long-term initiatives of corporate governance and succession planning required to sustain the company's strategic longevity. "As President and CEO, I will be establishing an environment that is forward-looking and change-ready, increasing agility in our corporate structure to better respond to the market and ultimately to our customers," says Askew. "This change represents an extension of the Mustang innovative drive - beyond products, into organizational structure and daily activities."
As COO, Hartt will lead the newly formed Senior Operations Group which will be responsible for all aspects of constructing and implementing Mustang's Annual Operating Plan. "I am excited to be leading this newly formed group," says Hartt, "We have the opportunity to deliver to our target markets all operational aspects that they expect from us. In response to our customers' feedback, the Senior Operations Group and I have established as Job #1 to significantly and consistently improve our delivery performance. We will accomplish this while continuing with Mustang's heritage of bringing innovative class-leading products to our target markets."
The new Senior Operations Group includes Jason Leggatt, Michael Grupa and Shannon Gallaugher as Business Development Directors for the military, professional and recreational markets respectively, as well as Glen MacPherson as Sales Director, Ken Gulick as Vice President of Research & Development and Craig Fisher as Vice President of Supply Chain that will work together to fulfill the goals set out in Mustang's Annual Operating Plan.
Askew retains the following direct reports: Dwight Noda as Director, Human Resources, Geoff Grover as Director, Information Technology and Paul Grimsey as Vice President, Finance. The strategic senior management changes are effective as of October 1st, 2009.
